    Arjana Tambic Andrasevic

    Arjana is head of the department of clinical microbiology at the University Hospital for Infectious Diseases, Zagreb and has been a consultant microbiologist since 1993. She has worked as a registrar at Sveti Duh General Hospital, Zagreb, as honorary registrar and lecturer at Guy's and St. Thomas's Hospitals, London, and as the head of the department of microbiology at the Children's Hospital Zagreb. She heads the Croatian committee for antibiotic resistance surveillance and sits on EU committee for antibiotic sensitivity testing (EUCAST), EU antibiotic resistance surveillance system (EARSS) and EU surveillance of antibiotic consumption (ESAC). She also heads the alliance for the prudent use of antibiotics (APUA) Croatia chapter.

    Ivan is assistant professor on Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry University of Zagreb where he teach microbiology and epidemiology. The main scientific area of his research is testing of antimicrobial activity of natural and synthetic compounds and determination of virulence factors of medically important fungi (Candida spp. and Aspergillus spp.). Ivan is also active observer in European Medicines Agency (London) and member of Interdisciplinary Section for the Control of Antibiotic Resistance (ISKRA) of the Croatian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
